Journals
The two quarterly journals "Archaeology Letter" were published in the second half of 2011. Three issues of it were published at the appropriate time. The publication of research articles in the field of archaeological knowledge was welcomed by researchers on the one hand and doubled the responsibility of the editors of the journal on the other. Therefore, the necessary measures and correspondence were taken to obtain the scientific-research status of the journal. Referring to the letter No.: 115429/18/3 dated: 16/07/1392 of the Commission for Publications Affairs in the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the title of the journal should be changed from "Archaeology Letter" to "Iranian Archaeological Research". Although this name change seemed difficult at first, fortunately, the result of the aforementioned commission in the final stage of granting the scientific-research degree is based on the letter number: 547398/18/3 dated: 10/23/1392 to the publication from 2012 to 2015. It received this accreditation from the issue 2 of the spring and summer and issue 3 of the fall and winter of 2012 from the journal "Archaeology Journal". Therefore, the bi-quarterly journal "Iranian Archaeological Research" has a scientific-research accreditation, 11 issues of which have been published so far, and has been able to meet the expectations and demands of readers with the help of the professors of the Department of Archaeology and the officials of Bu-Ali Sina University and the editorial board.
The editors' expectations and expectations from the respected authors of articles in the field of archaeological studies and art history are undoubtedly to observe the principles, pay attention to the goals, and present scientific-research articles. Therefore, the scientific-research products of the authors by publishing in this journal will be effective in maintaining its credibility. With this trend, the journal has been able to become one of the scientific bases for increasing knowledge in the field of archaeology in Iran.
Today, the field of archaeology accepts students at graduate levels in most universities in the country. Therefore, it is a good opportunity to witness progress and development in the field of archaeological knowledge by producing scientific-research articles. Although archaeology is a young field in Iran compared to many other fields, we can witness the production of scientific-research articles to enrich this knowledge in the country with the guidance of veterans and the efforts of young people. The Iranian Archaeological Research Bi-Quarterly hopes that by publishing scientific-research articles, it will make a small contribution to the growth and development of the field and knowledge of archaeology. It is important to mention that the publication of such publications will undoubtedly cause archaeology in the country, especially among the elite of society, to achieve its true position, and on the other hand, we will witness scientific competition and theorizing among archaeologists. It is in the light of theories that growth and development will occur in every science. Hopefully, on that day and with the help of the One God, we will witness a remarkable development in the field of this science.
